i got an 88 conquest tsi with the 2.6 motor it will crank and act like it wants to fire up but i have no spark what is causing it to act like that ? :( :o

i've change the wires,coil,spark plug, and changed my distributors( i got 4 of em) and still no luck. is there a way i could bypass something to get a spark?

e-101 knock sensor? These are a common fault.
When cranking watch ur tacho and see if it jumps, if not, try a new e-101.

This is where a friend with the same car comes in handy. The easiest way to diagnose the fault is to swap parts over till you find it.

I would start with the ignitor.

i using a knock sensor out of my other car that was runnin until the head gasket blew and still nothing work
