Mirror help!

Post by TD05 »

I was on a very narrow rd yesterday, a truck was coming towards me taking too much rd, so to miss it I stayed close to the left edge, didn't see the council rubish bin which was also claiming some of the road (thanks to the f!$$@ council garbo) and bang my pasenger side mirror is now in a 1000 pieces, my question:

are they easy to remove I figure, I pull it apart and get another one cut...
the electrics are OK tho'.....

JB/D electric? I've got a spare if you need it.
What's busted: glass, plastics or ally backing?

They r real easy to remove and replace... just remove the cover from the inside (interior part) and there will be at least 2 screws. There's a trick to getting the knobs off if it's mechanical... the two slots are what u push in to get the centre part out, then the rest comes off fairly easily.

it's the glass part, if I can get it apart I reckon I can get another one cut at the glaziers. If I get stuck I'll give you a call, how much would you want for it? PM me..
