BEST PENETRATING OIL

Certainly brake fluid can be used and a favorite in the third world. Or if your stuck on the side of the road somewhere.
Brake fluid is corrosive and is generally nasty to use though.
Big help if you hit a rusty nut or bolt with a hammer a few times - helps the penetrating oil get into the threads.

Seems like a lot of people swear by that mix on other forums, have to give it a go sometime and use the old ATF from flushing the power steering system.
