Main Fusible Link AMPS?

Post by Champaign »

I'm replacing the Main Fusible Link in my 1982 JA Starion, and wondering what Amperage fuse I need to install?

I can't see any reference to this in the wiring diagrams. :D

thanks for any help with this

Info is for an 86 euro/aus starion, but will be the same for the 82.

Main Fusible Link:
Permissable Continuous Current - 40A
Fusing Current - 190A

I think I use a 50A Maxi fuse and just carrying a set of spares. Start small, if it blows, try the next size up.

Cheers so much guys,

I have purchased a couple of 80A MAXI fuses and holder, should do the trick. :D

Apparently they didn't have 50A's or something, so hopefully 80 isn't too high
