No Dash Lights
My JD seems to have the 2013 blues as several things have busted.
No dash lights when I push parking light switch or headlight switch. All parking lights come on ok.
Not sure if this is related, but turning lights work both sides but flash at what seems to be at half the normal rate.
Any ideas?

Pull out the instrument panel from the dashboard, & check the multi-pin connectors, & the earthing. Also look around for any dodgy wiring from previous owners. I'm assuming you have checked all the fuses first.

No previous owner of the JD. Only thrre items non original: fuel pump (Bosch), windscreen and fuel cap. Trying to work out wiring for a diffrent radio atm.
Had instrument panel out but maybe should do so again. Metered all fuses near the steering wheel. All good. Have workshop manual (photocopied) but at times does not give required info. Currently suspect flakey earth..........somewhere.

Had yet another go at this problem. Assumed nothing that I had learned at previous sessions was true. As a post mortem I realised this: using the sliding fuse tester told me much more than I thought originally. Combined with the prints it was screaming that the intesity pot assy was broken. It was. However it was a problem to replace as I don't have Japanese hands. Thanks to Peter Ambros who had supplied me with that assy previouslt.

Fourth pic shows the spade connectors. To test: connect vertical spade to a 12V bulb. Bottom spade connects to +12V and the other side of the bulb. Top spade connects to other terminal of battery. Intensity should change smoothly.
PN is MB196670 and this assy seems to have been used in lots of Mitsubishi cars.
Troubleshooting is actually quite easy. Fuse 7 (Position(R)) on fuse panel controls right hand rear parking lights and rear number plate lights. If these work but you have no dash lights the rheostat is broken.
