I have an aluminised steel zorst that is at least 5 years old and still looks good.
Have heard that the ss system can sound tinny if it is made with a thin gauge material.
I've had mine since 03 07 92

Stainless will cost you more. How long will you keep the car? Also, how do you plan to drive the car? If it's lots of short trips then get stainless. If it's longer occasional stuff go steel as any moisture will burn off and not create rust as easily.

Being slightly more serious I also have steel which has lasted many a year. Have you priced it up?
