Sump Oil Lines

Post by benno91 »

Nearly done with the rebuild of my G63B with the Sirius Dash head but I cannot remember where one of the oil lines on the sump is goes to. I know one is for the oil return from the turbo but it's the smaller second one right next to it that i can't work out, Its probably something simple that I'm over looking. Also how much oil does the engine take including the oil cooler?

Thats the oil return from the air/oil vapour catch can thingy that mounts on the air filter. Underneath the catch can is where oil collects and should drip down the pipe back into the sump.

BTW...what VRS gasket kit did you use on the rebuild?
Actually I'm after a set a valve stem seals for the 12 valves. Were you able to match the the small extra exhaust valve? The usual 8 valves are not a problem....
Cheers!

I'll have to find out. When the engine gave up I got the head done at a mechanics just around the corner from my work. I remember they were pretty amazed with it when I told them what it was.

Dash Headset part number: V2040K. Still available here I think (but not many) I've sent some to Aussie before. The valve stem seals I think a Honda City is close, I used some Honda ones on mine but memory from 15 years ago is not good.
