Can anybody tell me what this is (and what it does?)

Probably a dumb question, but this thing is mounted behind the driver's side headlight (next to the radiator overflow bottle).

Any idea what it does?

Ballast resistors for your injectors.

I know, weird place for it eh.

It gets hot so that's why it's there, airflow cools the panel it is attached to
