Wheel tramp cure

Post by OLD FART »

Am pissed off that it stops me from launching cleanly and desperate for a fix.
Rear X member has solid ally mount to body Torque tube and diff mounts new 5000k's ago,Kings low rear springs,Konis checked and revalved and all bushes checked ok by Fulcrum.
Does not tramp on dirt or concrete.so it seems only happens on surfaces with more grip.
Have not tried launching at more than 3-3500 rpms.
I have a solid centre button/puck clutch.
I've had mine since 03 07 92

I'd like a fix too (although mine is probably rooted shocks) but peeling out of my driveway sideways is a pain once tramp starts!

Oldy, sounds like you need more give in your suspension...and bigger revs in the meantime may help.
Al, replace your shocks!
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

Drop the rear tyre pressures down closer to 20 and adjust your suspension setup to compensate, i'd be trying that first...
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.
