Greasing the tube

While my diff is out, I'm giving the torque tube some tlc; is Castrol APXT (blue) high performance grease OK to grease the diff spline coupler?
If not, any recommendations.

Hi Jeff, From personal experience the thicker and stickier the better. I use a chassis type industrial grease if that helps.

Wouldn't mind chatting to you about your suspension set up at some stage too.

Here's what is says on the tub:

"High Performance, Multipurpose. A lithium complex grease with tackiness enhancement for improved performance and corrosion protection in conditions of extreme heat, vibration and moisture."

I'm currently using it on my wheel bearings & so far all seems fine in that environment.

Brian, would be keen to catch up again; I'm hoping to get down to Phillip Island on Saturday the 23rd June for a test day, I hope to do some more playing around with the damper settings then. In between now & then I'm working on repairs to a trailer I bought, getting the car back together & trying to find time to do all my household chores :roll:

Geez Jeff, Your busier that a one armed wallpaper hanger. would consider going down to the Island but I'm committed to do a Rally Control north of Heathcote on the Saturday night.
