boost pipe

Post by jzma70 »

hey guys, i have been tidying up my new starion and couldnt help noticing how small the boost pipe is off the turbo, its like 1 inch max, has anyone put a bigger piipe on without intercooling??

and did it make a difference? just trying to free up the air a little bit haha cheers

Putting a bigger pipe on will not make that much difference, the outlet on the turbo is about the same diameter, the original pipe is tapered out to the size of the throttle body.
Putting an intercooler on it would be the best thing you could do

On My very first JA I tried a bigger pipe and it made it a little laggier. I put on an intercooler and it had more torque.
