although the a1rms make a lot of noise.. how do you tell when the pads are worn? i can't tell if the squeeling is just the brakes or if they are warn after only having them on the car for 6 months (no trackwork mind you)
my older car i had put in hilux 4wd pads.. they weren't bad either :)

What are you after in a pad?
Is the car a daily driver?
Full time track car?
I see it all the time at work, people coming in and buying track pads and then complining they dont stop cold on the street, or make alot of noise.

that's exactly why i got the a1rms.. they stop well even when cold :)
don't really mind the noise.. just that i don't know the difference between the pads squeeling and them trying to tell me that there's no meat left..

How hard are they on the discs??avandull wrote:I use Ferodo DS2500 compound
They don't fade. Even after 6 laps of Symmons Plains raceway which is very demanding on Brakes. They are good cold, and excellent hot.

DS's arnt normally very harsh on rotors.
No where near as harsh as the Bendix Ultimates/SRT's or EBC's.
Very popular with the EVO crowd.
