and why don't you just rig it back up how it was, and rig the main power line to the ISC to an interior switch. So you can turn it off once it has warmed up and you are ready to boost.

SpidersWeb.. thats wat i was *trying to do*.. i only took it off to see clearly if the ISC was moving.. i totally ignored or forgot watever to notice how much it actually went down..

i noticed this about the ISC after doing some voltage measurements from the ISC connector while the car was on.. only ONE out of the four wires is grounded.. the rest were about 9 volts or so.. but it only takes one of those wires to be connected to 12v and the ground wire to be hooked up to make the thing move.. to get it to retract, i had to reverse the wires around, meaning i had to put wat was ground, to 12v and vice versa..

my problem last night was LOL like i said, when connected, it red lines the car rofl i *needed* to know, how to get the ISC to only push a *little*, and to be able to hold it there till we choose to let it back down..

maybe 12v is too much to feed it.. i didnt try anything else to restrict movement like scum did, nor did i try to feed it less volts.. im through with the ISC.. :glare:

ahhhh, hrmmmm. sorry dude, now that i think about it i did the same thing, should have warned you. THATS why i put washers in there, i knew there was a reason :oops: as for reversing the polarity, thats why u need a 2 pole switch, one way makes it go up and the other way makes it go down. tap the switch and you can get it halfway.

I put a wolf 3d in my old starion and the wolf couldn't handle the idle control so I bought one of those three position self return switches from dick smith and wired it into the centre console. The switch worked so well I used it as cruise control on the highway

i know i might regret this.. but im determined to fix my last problem.. or find another solution to it at least..

tomorrow im heading out to dick smith and hooking myself up with a "2 pole switch"..

let you guys know how i go.. :D

scum or any others who have manually overrided the ISC, my question to you guys is, what are the remaining 2 wires in the ISC for?

there are four, 2 which power the actual device, and the other two?

ive made the switch, and test it to good effect.. i got one of those momentary ones, so i dont go through the red line again :D

I think you will find that one is a motor position switch.

Another is an idle switch.

The other two are for extending or retracting the isc.

I vote for somewhere near the drivers door, on the main console.

Stops people from fiddling with it, and thats almost exactly where the main firewall hole is.
