Microtech Tuner Required

Post by LxS »

Does anyone know of a bulletproof microtech tuner that doesnt just treat your car like a number?

My car is finished and now needs a tune...

I have already had 1 engine 'blow up' on the dyno because my retard tuner didnt know what he was doing, so any help is very appreciated.

Don't mind taking it out of Sydney area if they are worth it.

Thanks
Alexis

If you use him let me know and i will come down and say g'day, and i am sure Pete (Tomsun) will too.

Thrash, what are you doing in this thread?? .. its about trying to find LxS a decent tuner.

LxS, I also know my tuner Mark Chapman at MRC Dyno can do Microtech. He specialises in Autronic but has is very good at Motec and Haltech and all sorts of various flash programs and has done Microtech.

The good thing about Mark is he wont dick you around, is a very good tuner and will always err on the side of caution rather than tempt fate.

Tell him I referred you and I'm sure he will look after you.

His number is 9634 5399 and address is 44 Carrington Road Castle Hill

never used them personally, but they've been recommended by a number of people I know. They take good care of your car and tune it well, but they are not cheap.

Thrash, you are kinda starting to bug me first with your cruise bit and now this so please read my posts again - accurately this time. :glare:

I will always recommend MRC as my tuner of choice, and in fact AM recommending Mark for Mictotech tuning - just that Dale at CHE specialises in them the same way that Mark at MRC specialises in Autronic.

My first post answers LxS's specific question. Dale at CHE specialises in Microtech and has a good rep for his tuning skills. ie he is a Microtech specialist which is what lXs asked for.

My second post then adds (after giving it some more thought) I recalled Mark has tuned Microtech in the past and will do a good job. Geez, dont go putting things out there that, if you read my post clearly, I didnt say.

Now that I have wasted 10 minutes of my life that I wont get back can we all please get back to the thread and I can go home from work.

my apologies to wantsom. you are correct. I didn't read your post properly.

and my apologies to lxs for hijacking your thread. I'll stop posting in this thread now seeing as I seem to be ticking people off.

Yes, Dale at Castle Hill Performance/Exhaust is the man to see.

I was sure that LxS already knows of Dale, though??

Thanks Greg, but I have unfortunately had to deal with dale in the past and is extrodinarily unreliable. He then palmed off fitting my microtech to another guy named Mick and he did the most horrific wiring job (after charging $500) i then had to get it re-done!!

To everyone else, thank you so much for your suggestions, and will let you know how I go! sorry for massive delays in posts, this time around is one of the slowest rebuilds, but i'm hoping the last..

BTW: has anyone heard or used Justin @ Blacktrack Performance in Newcastle?

I haven't dealt with him personally, but I have heard good things about him. I've spoken with him before too and he seems like a reasonable bloke - but then again, they all seem reasonable BEFORE they get your money.

LxS,

I think if you speak to Dale these days things are much different as he now has a full-time workshop and dyno.

I would suggest a couple of others that you could speak to that are in that same area:

Dale (CHP) and mark (MRC) in Castle Hill, and there is also Yavuz from Unigroup engineering in Girraween:
17/ 17a Amax Avenue,
Girraween NSW
Ph: (02) 9631 247

I haven't dealt with them myself, however, I know of quite a few people who have positive things to say about JEM also.
