Lowering springs - Widebody. Narrow springs fine?

Post by bigd »

Hi guys,

There are a couple of threads with a bit of info but can anyone confirm that narrowbody lowering springs will be sweet in a widebody?
I can get dobinson springs which I have used in my old narrowbody and they were fine.
I see eibach make them for the american cars so I imagine these are ok but would require import from US which I'm not so keen on.
I'm only looking for around an inch drop and nothing that's going to make the ride too hard.
So essentially - will it work?

I've got both sets of springs, the Eibach and Dobinsons!

I just put the Eibach fronts on the Auto widey, and they are low...just under 2 inches drop. Ride is firm but surprisingly nice! Rears to be done shortly.

The Dobinsons ( narrow body springs) have been used on www.18u widey and he claimed they worked really well! Ride height is slightly greater...about an inch or so drop, instead of around 2 in.

Dobinsons would be my pick for regular driving!

Dobinsons fit no problems, on normal struts and shp ones. The ride is better than a set of king springs, but yeah not that low really.
