Early JB's have small diffs as well. I don't think anyone has the exact time they changed over. JD also got 3.9 ratio, JA/JB were 3.55.

Remember JA, JB JD etc refers to the Australian market Starions so you wont find any of those models overseas.

I know my starions ;)

Just not sure when the changeover was on the small 180mm ring gear diffs. I need one of those damn lsd's for my sapporo rear end.

Anyone wanna trade a 200mm lsd setup for a 180mm setup. I'll even pay shipping both ways.

What about the US 85.5 narrowbody model?
what size diff do those have?

And maybe you can find a small lsd in the UK. I think your sapporo has the same axle as a lancer 2000ex. And they use lsd' from early starions, but also from a certain l300 van
But I heard those vans were only sold in icy countries like Switzerland.

Maybe an other option would be to swap the entire rear suspension of a (narrowbody) starion onto the sapporo.

shaun i believe your early starions had the same centre as ours, ie the 180mm one, 83 was an option so only some would have it. your 84's i'm pretty sure had the little one aswell.

have a look at this thread so u know what to look for (invaluable pics)

Smog,
Have your tried the Montero LSD? I'm not sure what size it is but I know the 4cyl is the smallest.
