Sigma Workshop Manual

Post by JJH »

Anyone here have a Sigma Workshop Manual?
I'm only interested in the pages relating to the manual steering box.
Would love to get a scan of the afore-mentioned pages.

I've got the above book at home. If you don't get any joy in a few days I can scan the pages you need.
Its a damn big book to carry in the backpack though.

Yes Al, thought I'd give it a try; it'll free up a bit of space for IC piping etc and as soon as I posted this I thought of cheater.

MrBishi, I'd be be very grateful if you could do those scans. Let's wait a few days, and if I'm ever up you way I'll shout you a couple of drinks :beer

I think I still owe you a couple of beers don't I Al? Check you PM's.

Jeff you may be surprised I have a sigma manual here some where

I haven't checked the bolt spacing but I was shore that they have the same bolt up pattern

not sure if the drag links are the same however measure up GJ sigma or later they will have the correct lenth
and I think also had a bit quicker steer ratio than the earlier box

JJH,
Do you still need this? I had a look at my GN manual and the steering section is about 40 pages.
Do you need the rebuild section of the manual box? There are no dimensional data to campare to a staz box if that is what you were chasing.

MrBishi,
I'd be keen to get my hands on the servicing/adjustment section & any info on part numbers for the sterring box itself.
I've already fitted a Sigma box and have done about 4 hours normal driving evaluating it. So far I'm reasonably happy with its performance.
I need to get out and do some comeptition evaluation before I commit to continue using it.

So sigma box is direct bolt in then is it?
I have been looking at my siggy box for a couple of weeks thinking it looks right.
Was going to give it a crack after I change the head on the missus car.

The Sigma box I used did bolt straight in, but I'd suggest you check out this post:

Good discussion on the conversion process.

Thanks for the heads up, I am actually planning on leaving it as power setup for now just to rush it thruogh the roadworthy process.
My box is shagged.
I have a GK GSR sitting in the drive I was hoping to pilfer the box from.
Better measure the shaft lenght before I get too carried away.
