LxS, I think looks wise it would be kinda nice/rice but reckon the drone would drive you nuts. Twin systems on V8's can cause a real flat/uneven note if you dont do it right. A four would be even flatter. You would need a balance tube somewhere in the system to even the pulses up and keep it from droning etc.

That said, you'd be the first on the block to have one so its really up to you. Me, NUP.

Cheers

Thanks for all the comments..

I'm a sucker for all american tanks that run twin exhausts etc so I had a thought for the starion..

Shame I cant hear one, just so I know what it sounds like. I guess 3in straight back will do.

Thansk again!

Side pipes? Both sides with those mesh grilles over them so you don't burn your calves when you get out of the car!!!!

LxS, Liverpool Exhausts do great work. Not expensive and you can stand there and watch them put the exhaust on. You can even suggest where you would like the exhaust run to go as they install it. Im very happy with the work they have done for me in the past.

I have actually seen a twin exhaust set up on a Starion before. It had a split in the pipe after the diff and then it went around the fuel tank. That is the only way to have it done without ruining things like ride height and clearance. However, with the fuel tank positioned to the left hand side, there wasn't any room to fit a muffler so it was just a (press bent) pipe. It didn't sound that good in my opinion, and the car wasn't in the best condition anyway.

I would stick to a mandrel bent 3" and also would recommend either Liverpool Exhaust or Western Mufflers (Fairfield St, Fairfield).

Personally I would tuck it up high and have a stealth dump pipe just below the bumper. Won't attract any undu police attention like a big shiny stainless thing and 5" tip would. Handy for cleaning leaves off the driveway too.

I think a single exhaust down midway and then split it to twin if you want, less restriction and quieter operation as twin rear muffs would make it alight.

My Brother has a Satria GTI (4G93) and a guy at hi-tech in sydney said that running twin from the front on a 4 cylinder would kill the low down when running a full system. but he when for a 2.5" single system and then had it split into the twin system at the rear end giving it a truly lumpy note! they even had some Lotus Exhaust tips from a lotus that was in getting a new exhaust, now he has lotus suspension and zorst tips heheh i always bag him about it.
(But thats atmo, i just get carried away)

Anyways hope that helps :)
