Some info for all and sundry and Enthuzed.....

Engine bay fuel filter part number is RFF-81.
Unsure of the brand it was covered by the bracket.

Mitsubishi part number is MB220794.

Fuel filter is more expensive as a RFF-81, mainly due to the fact that it's a Repco part for a Hideyourundies, sorry Hyundai Excel. Quoted $30-odd.

Best bet is to get a universal one, a Ryco Z342. You get your washers for the banjo fittings, etc, and it'll go virtually however you want to mount it. Shouldn't cost anymore than $25, I paid less than $20 inc GST cause I'm too well known at one of the local auto parts shops.

Quick update, bought another Ryco Z342 from Bursons.
Same product of course, price has gone up marginally.
That's pretty good considering the last one I bought was 2.5 years ago.
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

An update to this...Cooper have a DF019 which is the Ryco Z342 equivalent. Ryco also do a Z441 which is specified for a Proton Jumbuck and CC Lancers - it's exactly the same.
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
