3000GT/GTO tt injector flows?

Post by MrBishi »

Anyone have any idea what they flow? I have a set of six I was given & am wondering if they'd be suitable for the Starion when/if MPI happens.

380cc x 6

Good upgrade for a V6, not so good for an inline-four.

Probably best to use VR4 injectors which are 490cc I *think* not sure, might have them mixed up with EVO.

I got the cc rating off an advert that was selling 'GTO Injectors'. Said it was a good upgrade for a VR4 V6, good for up to 400hp with right mods at flywheel.

VR4 injectors are "rated" at 450cc, not sure of the test conditions though.

450 is really too small if your chasing alot of power. They can suport a max of 160kw@wheels.

Standard starion injection is around 1600cc, so using 4 x 380cc injectors would be a backward step.

I found the Starion injector sizes.

2 x 580cc for 8 valve (total 1160cc)

1 x 550cc
1 x ~1000cc for DASH setup

So if you can find four of the larger DASH injectors, hey hey!

Disclaimer: These are specs I found on the web of factory Starion injector sizes. I haven't had any flow tested, or actually asked Mitsubishi.

Common choice on EVO over here, is aftermarket 790cc injectors, or Supra Twin Turbo injectors (which are roughly 790 as well).

and dont forget, in a standard staz/ecu setup, the injectors are fired alternately (i think, Dave Kitson could confirm that).
