Clutch options for DOHC setup?

I am on my second clutch kit within 1 month with slippage still occuring!.

BNT have one that is a 5 PUK ceramic button type....will it hack it?

What are you guys running? and where to buy!?

My solid centre button has no problems with 585nm torque BUT will wear if constantly slipped on hill or traffic starts

I'm running Starion bottom end so I have the Starion flywheel....

Any of those options go for 400-600 NZD?

I run the stage 3 clutch from the US also. It is run in Improved Production and various sprint racing events and has never given me any grief. As already stated though, not recommended for street use - let it bite hard and then it's fine, if you're slipping it all the time, it wont last long.

Hmmmm, what does JAS run in his car? He's make some pretty good power.

I'll be up against this hurdle sometime soon also, would like to know the options.

Time for some internet research!

From memory its a 4 puck brass button unit. And a very heavy duty pressure plate. Not street friendly at all! I would like to change it to something that has a bit of slip in it but don’t want anything that’s going to slip when I put the boot into it.

Got it from clutch systems in Christchurch. The guy is a bit crap at setting up pressure plates tho, as the first time around it slipped on the dyno at 300hp or so. I sent it away to a place in Auckland and they doubled the pressure plate pressure and its been a monster ever since lol.

Im running the Spec stage 3 clutch on this page. Or will be when it does actually run. They seem to have a pretty good reputation!

The sprung discs arent supposed to be too bad for street use, but unsprung probably would be nasty. Il let you know when it finally runs haha!

Ive got 10 weeks off from the end of January and it WILL be running by the end of that time! Not necessarily driving but running haha!

Yeah mate were due in there next Saturday arvo til sun arvo. So will def see if anyones around on sun morn (gotta work til 8pm sat)
