Fuel lines for a twincam

im just wondering what you have done for fuel lines as mine just burst due to being old ones from factory and im thinking of going braided what has everyone els done????

Ive replaced mine with 6an braided lines to and from the rail.
Am running a VL commy pump feeding one of Jas surge tanks, then a bosch 044 to the rail.

Ideally, you'd go with good quality braided lines as above, but I just went with new rubber fuel injection hose. If you do this, make sure it's approved fuel injection hose and not the old stuff. I also run E85, so if you plan to do that, ensure it's ethanol-safe as well.

20-30 year old rubber fuel lines aren't cool.

ok then what fuel filter am i supose to run and is it fuel from pump to filter then rail??

Yes, tank to pump, to fuel filter, to rail, then back to tank if you have a reticulated system. And a FPR in there somewhere, mine is between the pump and the Fuel filter.

Many people that I know run two fuel filters, one between the tank and the pump and the other just prior to the fuel rail. It's not a bad idea as dirty fuel is very common.

I just run a screen-filter between the tank and the pump and then a proper fuel filter between the FPR and the rail.

I firmly believe that it doesn't matter what type of fuel filter you use - they all do the same thing. Just go down to Supercheap and find one that's the correct size and shape for your application.

ok thanks guys went to enzed and got some hi pressure (20)bar fuel line and a vlturbo fuel filter for the size and high flowing.
done the job well made a big difference in rail sound when priming anyone els had this happen

Are you sure?
The FPR is supposed to be after the rail and the filter is better to have before the rail/injectors(?).

No IMHO it's pointless having one after the rail on the return line. Filters need to be before the rail FWIW I have a filter before the external pump and 2 in the engine bay on the way to the fuel rail.I have tested flow and having the extra one in the engine bay makes no measurable difference
