Difference between the blocks?

So, whats the difference between the the normal 2L staz block that i have and say a 1G DSM/VR4 block? If i have the VR4 head, and my rods will suit a 1G twincam, as will the pistons is there any benefit to getting a twincam block and accessories with a twincam 2.4L crank? Specifically the Eagle stroker crank.

Also, i've got kiggly racing block girdles, im assuming i won't need these if i go twincam as they have a girdle or dont they?

Cheers.

they have almost got girdles, the main caps are linked on 1&2, 4&5..

you may have to grind the block for the stroker crank with a VR4 block, and you are also forgetting the obvious wideblock/narrowblock issue affecting gearbox fitment..

If you don't want to grind the block for the 64 crank you can machine the counterweights as that will also clear the squirters. This is what I have in my stroker.
PS if you grind the block to clear the cw's you may have to bend/modify the squirters to clear the crank.
Bill Hincher in the states has bellhousings to suit most boxes to NB or WB motors

At the level you are talking, I would be putting the girdle in anyway.

Its only a minor line hone to fit it in.

Any difference between the kiggly and the Magnus girdles?

Rad - i didn't touch the block or crank in my stroker. Didn't hit..
