who runs a GT30?

Post by MR Bender »

hello

does anyone run a GT30 on the twincams?

if so when does it hit full boost/ spool up at what RPM?l

im thinking of trying one on my car to see how they go.
as i run a gt35r and just after something a little less laggy.

any tips?

Mr B you can change the turbine to a smaller one to improve spoolup/boost earlier

yep u can get a .63 rear housing for a couple of hundred $$, or you might find someone on a forum willing to swap for your .82.

it will make a big difference mate if you have a .82 now.

My GT35 Turbo has a smaller rear housing and wheel. Its actually a Evo style exhaust housing, and the smaller wheel helps it spool up much sooner. I highly recommend it. :beer I believe its a .63 rear, but don't quote me on that part...

Really? I paid for a GT35RLS and I know I didn't get what I paid for. But Millenium motorsport checked it out and said the front half was a GT35 but the rear wasn't. If it is a GT2876R.... I don't mind, would be nice to know the exact model I got. :beer

Did they pull it apart to check? GT35R and GT2876R have the same .7 AR front cover, different inducer size though.

i remember looking at your rear housing and seeing a T25 pattern..

Will have to check it out, but honestly I don't want something the size of a GT35 total. I prefer the low down torque then for the full boost to come on after 4-5k.

Thanks for the info Dave
