A stock EVO4 engine or a hot one?

8k is not a good price for a stock evo4 motor, remember these are now getting old, you can get them for about $2500

get that quote in a legally binding written contract lol, then that shop will hate you, or your car will leave unfinished after they've done the 8K worth of work LOL

Shit... the motor alone would be about 8k in Sweden... WELL used and probabley not to healthy! LOL
And then you'll need an ECU of some sort and wireing and.... and... a lot of time!

?

that looks unreal but with the intake and exhaust on the wrong side plus that what appears to my unlearned eyes to be a transfer case for the 4wd system it looks like a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE amount of money to get that up and running in a staz. Am I wrong ?

2 main probs are the lack of rwd engine mount bosses and i think the bellhousing pattern is different again..

the manifolds being switched is a PLUS not a negative..

What Redzone said. Any change out of 20 grand for a properly done TC conversion is a bonus.

I think that grammar nazi around is not going to be impressed, i forgot who it was though.

But seriously I dont think you are going to get too much in the way of BIG numbers for under 9 grand. Performance costs big money which is why I stick with my old standard sohc, another thing to consider is once you start to make big numbers everything else starts to get stressed beyond what it was designed for, gearbox, cluthc, brakes, drive shafts, diff, cooling system, the list is endless and very expensive. In all seriousness if you are after performance for around 9 grand what about and old V8 falcon of commodore, a dime a dozen and they go ok ? Just my 2 cents worth.

Or sell starion, add $9000 and get close to something fast without the hassle.
