you have to remember with putting the starion box behind a DOHC conversion your not only going to be making more power but ull be making more torque and revving it harder than ever before also! and not to mention probably ramming more boost into it aswell.
i dont know if anyone on here has actually put the starion box behind a DOHC conversion and...
1. not broken the gearbox!
2. actually put out decent power/torque/revs/boost!
3. wish they actually put a better box in!
4. most people on here only keep the stock box cause its one less thing they have to cough money up for! everyone tries to do this conversion on the cheap and its just not worth it!

I am driving a starion gearbox behind my DOHC setup. I have a Turbonetics T3/T04E turbo pushing 1.6 bar in the engine. I have never been on a dyno, but my RSM is saying that i'm having 443HP. However my car is lighter than a starion (i'm having a lancer 2000 turbo). I wish that i had a W58 or Mazda gearbox because, the starionbox is not build to rev up to 7700rpm. It's not possible to change gears then. You have to wait until the needle of the rpm gauge is at 6000rpm, which is very annoying. That is why my 1/4mile time is exact 13sec.
