North QLD Starion meet

A few guys up in QLD have been thinking of a Nth QLD meet so i thought id start a thread to try get the ball rolling.

Just throwing ideas around at the moment and talking to most of the guys it seems like we would get a good turnout considering the number of Starions we have up here and the distances to be travelled.

Townsville seems to be the logical place to meet. Date will probably be later on in the year so it gives people a chance to save money for fuel/accomodation and get time off work if need be. As well as get cars ready as some people's cars are works in progress. I think getting 9 Starions to show up is acheivable.
As for cheap accomodation Phil (tri26t) may be able to point you in the right direction as he is a local.

Lets do it.
however I would drive a thousand Km round trip
maybe thats not good for others, but Ive always
had to do it from here with the stock car/rally car/Drag car
sinse way back in the 80`s.
For me, long 30 hour trips are the norm (Townsville-Melbourne)
although I done it in 24.5 hrs a few years ago (voom voom Rx7)
so when ever your up for it.
