National Cruise

Post by madeofmilo »

Hi guys, just wondering who would actually be interested in a National Cruise? There has been much talk about it lately? I know it may take a few months to plan but any ideas as to where? accomodation etc?

Although a melbourne boy I thought maybe ACT/ Sydney may be a fair place?

And perhaps early January around the 15/16th?

I know it's early days, but just getting a rough idea.

Plus I could use a holiday.

National meet

The cooler months R better ( for power) May-sept Bathurst seems to work out best, plenty of cheap Accomadition, venues aren't to expensive, & not to far for people to drive to spectate, We will need to et into contact with Bathurst City Council to arrange Track access, just timed sprints, etc.... :beer

as discussed in the other thread, i think autumn in the north of vic (winton i think), which would give us the best weather (no rain, not too hot, not too cold), closest for adelaide, sydney and melb people (where the majority of starions are).

What are you asking this for Dave? You can't even make the local cruises! :P

i think the bathurst idea sound s the best it about equal drive for most people as vic is way to far to drive my starion it would be a massive fuel bill

not wanting to turn it into a fuel consumption thing but i got over 600k out of a tank, driving included the Melb' cruse, my weekly driving to work(to the other side of the city in peak hour), and a spot of 'hooning'.

i recon have it on a long weekend (would have to be 4 days at least), have a major spot for everyone to meet (like bathurst), and get the people from each state to meet up(in there state) and drive there as a group. that way its like a double cruise(State/National).

I'll also put in a vote for Bathurst. Close to me being in Canberra, have rels there and could get great photo shots of all our Starions on the Mountain......excellent

I agree, where the majority of the starions live, thats where the cruise should be. And considering that Brisbane had the most so far at 13, and we didn't have all the cars, I think we are the best contender so far. That way the cost of other starions travelling is less.

(In Sydney)
say 13 QLD starions travel to Sydney at $400 fuel = $5200 (numbers will go up)

(In Brisbane)
say 12 NSW starions travel to Brisbane at $400 fuel = $4800

So it works out cheaper :D

What about Vic? 11 at the event and two died just b4. (not to even list the ones that didnt come or the say 4 at flav's)
so say 10x300(to get to sydney)+10x400(rest of the way)=$7000
