Yeah, I agree! A bit sad that only 2 stazzas showed up. Both Shannon and I really enjoyed it last year and we did discuss it about coming down this year...but too much on the cards.
Furthermore, the Starion turns 30years this year in February (first released in Feb '82) and no recognition that it has reached this milestone.
I would assume most people look at classic old cars reaching 30 before getting the tag as a 'classic'.
Who's silver car is that with the GSR-V wheels? Is it 5 stud and is it a GSR-V?
The event is simply amazing with football fields full of shiney metal!
More pics please!

Hey Mal,
Yes, another fine event...with less cars this year overall...odd really.
That said, there was still tonnes of fine automobiles, too fine for here.
If I put up some pics, I'll fill this post up with car porn!!
Standout cars for me:
Road registered TE Cortina with a twin-turbo 302 V8. The hairdryers were plumbed back into one of the fattest intercoolers I've ever seen.
Has a two speed behind it, and according to the owner puts out 1000hp at the wheels.
A classic road registered Mustang with a BA XR6 turbo motor, and a huge turbo and one of the biggest inlet plenums I've ever seen.
Inside it has been tastefully done including suede stitched around the 4 point roll bar. This one was supposed to be good for 1000 wheel HP as well.
And the guys are mates of course.
Classic beauty goes to a tastefully restored Mazda 808 complete with factory colour and all brightwork - with a Series 4 turbo RX7 motor in it.
I'll let you ponder those...
To answer your question, the champagne coloured GSR-V looking car is an import owned by Bluesystem from Melbourne.
It's a 1987 U.K 'EX' Starion imported into N.Z. and then to here, complied in 2001 by the looks.
So yes, 5 stud, 260km speedo with MPH graduations as well, black leather seats, and different taillights with the big red square section.
And no, not a dash motor either, a JB/D style SOHC.
Things I found different were the JA style manual mirrors and the driving light switch removed as they come on with the high-beams.

I refuse to post any of my photos also, but it was another great day, whilst there were plenty of excellent of cars what Enthuzed mentioned above were definately the pick of the bunch.
There was also a replica of the modern version of 'Gone in 60 seconds' Elanor GT500 Mustang. 427cc eight on nitrous up front, and the goods under the wheels to stop it. Big slotted rotors front and rear wrapped with Alcon 6 pots calipers in the front and 4 pots in the back.
There was also a AC Cobra replica again with 427cc donk but this time matched to a pair of sprintex superchargers, nothing from the outside gave away the lunacy under the bonnet.
From what we saw the General's boys were fairly conservative compared to the utterly crazy but brilliant work displayed by the blue oval boys.
From a Mitsubishi point of view just 3 as Enthuzed's pic above shows participated, this was a little dissapointing. Would have been 2 if I hadn't pulled a partial all nighter on Saturday with the Galant after a minor braking issue late on saturday afternoon. Would you call complete rear brake caliper seizure, a little fire and a lot of smoke, minor!
What is embarrassing is the Toyota boys had over 30 cars there, which was outstanding and good on them!!!
There is always next year!!!
Cheers,
Hitchy
