I have entered and will be towing the JB as well as camping at the showgrounds for the first time at Maryborough & Would like to Go Pro record the event it but they are a bit beyond my budget ATM and was wondering if anybody has one I can borrow if possible??
PS this event was previously called Wheels on Wide Bay and I have entered in past years & it is on closed roads within the showgrounds

The gearbox is bolted up to the motor and the shaft is at Driveline services to be shortened app 100mm and a Mazda compatable yoke fitted and balanced and to be ready to be picked up Friday am :)
Looking forward to driving with the 7 box so hope it is as slick as people say.

I/We have followed Avandulls method so the pics are on his thread on the RX7 box swap

PS just removed the box oil pan and there was 2 teeth missing from one of the gears on the shaft closest to the bottom of the box.I'm sure somebody will have the correct name for this part.

Just had a drive around the block and my initial impressions of the 7 box is that the gate is so much more precise and the throws are shorter.
The shifter knob is a little further away and yes the stick has been bent so it is vertical.
Have to refit all the bits in the cabin ,console etc and will fit the satnav and check the speedo for accuracy soon and let you know.
Lee has been great to do the swap for me to get the car ready for the sprints and I have nothing but the highest regard for his skills.Today is his birthday and he put off working on his drag car to get my car back on the road :beer

Well the jury is out on the 7 box as I have found it to be a bit rubbery which may be due in part to the much shorter stick and the lack of familiarity??.Ended up with 3rd in class and hoping for some good action pics from turn one .Just after turn 2 there was a yump and I must have been getting a bit faster each time as there was a bigger chirp from the rears each time. Was on a flier on the last(9th)run when at about 3/4 of the way the throttle wouldn't respond but was still faster than 4th place on that run.
At first I thought that I might have blown off a cooler hose but it turned out to be the clamp on the TB had come partly off so will drill the shaft and a use a self tapper and washer to stop this happening again.
Won't have pics for a couple of weeks so will get them up asap

Update the rubbery feel was due to the stick coming thru the rubber dust seal in an offset to the passenger side.Solved this by cutting the seal so it wasn't putting pressure on the stick and pushing it towards the driver then copious amounts of silicone to seal it around the stick.
