I though Shannon might need some extra time and I wasn't sure if people thought is might be too close to the last one... (eg last cruise was 3 years ago!)
But I'm keen to have it sooner if we can get consensus.
OK... Let's just work on dates for Sundays...
Sunday Jan 18th - Too early
Sunday Jan 25th is the long weekend. Too many people away??
Sunday Feb 1st - OPTION 1
Sunday Feb 8th - OPTION 2

This i can do :D however you will need either a Wakefield licence, or a l2s cams licence to get out on the track. This would give Wantsom a chance to participate too.
Thanks for waiting for me for the next cruise:oops: I am just waiting for some good weather to finish off the bodywork, and then she is off for a blue slip. :pimp

what's involved in getting either of the licenses?
what about the 'speed off the street' events at wakefield?
I suppose one of the big questions are.. will most of us be allowed on the track considering the condition of our cars?

Both are just a matter of filling out a form and paying some money. You are your own scruteneer so getting the car on the track really isn't a problem, it's more getting it off when it breaks LOL .
I am keen for whatever you guys decide, but Merlins idea sound pretty good to me.

I think a Track Day would be great. But separate to the cruise.
If keen on a track day....

merlin...
Roughly what cruise path did you have in mind???

Ok, Im thinking something like this:
Start: Maccas at Thornleigh.
Cross Pennant Hills Rd into Commenara Parkway,
Cross Kissing Point Rd.
Continue all the way along the Commenara into Doncaster Av West Pymble.
Turn left at roundabout/BP servo into Kendall St, either park in the shop carpark or visit the servo if in need of fuel etc. This is just a short stop.
Proceed along Kendall and turn left onto Ryde Rd.
Under the Pacific Hwy and along Mona Vale Rd.
Through St Ives, lookin' good etc. Wave to appreciative spectators.
Proceed along Mona Vale Rd past old showground, and either turn right into Forrest Way.
or,
Keep right and loop thru the tunnel (sound effects here) under Mona Vale Rd, run through the industrial park, then turn right into Forrest Way.
This can be a good little squirt, depending on traffic.
Maybe a re-group at this point, though there is not much road parking.
I will check this bit out some more for parking.
Along Forrest Way a few ks, turn left into Morgan Rd (just past Glenaeon Village).
Down the hill, through the twisties and bush.
Cross the ittybitty bridge and keep right onto Oxford Falls Rd.
Past the satellite station, cross the ford and turn left into Wakehurst Parkway, heading towards Narrabeen.
Note, the ford may provide an interesting photo-op, there is a little bit of parking space just past the ford, before the turn into the Wakehurst Parkway.
Dont try to park on the Parkway, its a bad corner and rockwall.
Proceed down the Wakehurst Pkwy, past the Sydney Academy of Sport.
Cross the white bridge/Middle Ck, a bit further along cross the brick bridge/Deep Ck and turn left into the parking area just past the bridge.
Park in the second section. Chat and photo-op.
Turn onto Wakehurst Parkway, heading east.
Turn left into Elanora Rd and proceed up the hill (very steep, twisty).
Turn left then right following Elanora Rd.
Keep following Elanora Rd, through two roundabouts and eventually past the golf club.
Turn left into Powderworks Rd, up-up, all the way to the top...
Turn left onto Mona Vale Rd, go past the Bahi Temple...
Turn right at the McCarrs Ck Rd turnoff at Terry Hills.
Go right at the roundabout along McCarrs Ck Rd.
Keep right on McCarrs CR otherwise your into the national park pay station.
Wizz down the hill, traffic permitting.
Possible re-group and chat at McCarrs Ck Reserve where the creek opens out.
Continue on through Church Point and Bayview.
Proceed to Barrenjoey Rd, where you turn left, via either:
Mona St and then Basset St, or Darley St, or Park St.
Turn left off Barrenjoey Rd into Beaconsfield St to the Newport Arms Hotel for drinks, chat and lunch, with views.
Home.
What do you guys reccon?

Sorry about sticking the proposal in the other thread (2008 cruise).
I was not actually planning on setting "stage times" hehe.
Start time 9:30 to 10:00 latest to avoid traffic.
Those poor souls without working/roadable 4G63s can just go straight to the pub and meet-up there.
