70 entries have already been received for this event to be held on November 8 ~ 9th. With only a maximum of 110 cars allowed, the field is filling rapidly for this very popular event.

Looks like a great venue; I'd like to do it but I have a 3 day event the weekend after so I'll be busy prepping the car.
I presume it's an annual event?

Man I just looked at the site and this TUBE vidio
was great, Great to see ppl hanging cars out to dry
like that, even though they all look a bit over powered
for that surface it doesnt look too fast, but
gee it catches a few of them out, that would have
been fun in my old rally bucket (mazda 1300 stb)

I MISS HAVING THAT MUCH FUN

Kevin Makerell has won it both times in his 6 litre 4wd 240Z. Not sure if he is coming back this year as the event clashes with another hillclimb somewhere. Course is 1.4km long, & takes under a minute if your quick, or just over for most. Top speed for the quick cars is up near 180kmh approaching the chicane as seen in the video.
Even if you don't enter, it a great 2 days of action, so come & have a look.

Just received news that Kevin Mackerell is not going to the National Championships but is confirmed as an entrant on both days of the "Legend of the Lakes" Hillclimb at Mount Gambier SA.
Also over 120 entries have now been received, but as there is a 110 cut-off, there are quite a few on the reserve list.
As this is an annual event, maybe a Starion could star next year.

Entry list can be viewed at http://www.seacsa.com/web_supp_entry/Pi ... 3.9.08.pdf

Mitsubishi is well represented with 11 entries, mostly Lancer Evo's, plus a VR4, Mirage & a Sigma. But NO STARION's, I'm disappointed. Hopefully we'll see one "climb the mountain' next year.

Great spectator viewing, live TV coverage to on course screens, in a beautiful lakeside venue.
