Well what a stresfull day Friday was !! Had arranged to meet Peter at Ormeau at 7 am to do a final tune with some hard tyres that I picked up at Dereks on the way ( thanks mate ) and had them on the car by 7 only to get a call from Peter saying he would be a little late which turned ouy to be 90 min :( After a lot of fine tuning and 328 hpatw ( you win Gazza ) the oil "t"fitting that carries the factory & mechanical senders as well as the low op warning light broke off at the pump & dumping app 1.5 litres on the floor .After managing to remove the bit in the pump & screwing in the mech guage that is above the boost guage on the "A"pillar & doing a final run to c if alls ok the alternator shits itself so by now it's i pm & I am at Slacks Creek trying to find an auto sparkie to get a new one fitted . Finally leave at 4.30 pm on a holiday Friday so n e body that knows the infamous Gateway & Bruce hways will know what it's like
Finally arrived at 9.30 pm ( left home at 5.30 am & was expecting to be there b 4 noon )) and was scruitineered as they were closing .As u can imagine I had a humungous stress headache that was not going away.
The car didn't miss a beat & it came home undamaged didn't set the world on fire but had a
great time catching up with the regulars & only a 3.5 hour drive home compared with 5 going up there
Have ordered a disc of piccies so will have to get someone to post a few when it arrives
