The results of the last 2 runs were not posted but I can report that that dam widey of Daves was app 2 seconds faster than my flatty BUT I got better value for my money as I had more track time :)
I was having trouble coming to grips with the TC's strokers lag free power delivery as every time I nailed it in 2nd coming out of a corner or chicane it started snakeing up the road, so after trying something different each run my best time came from driveing it smoothly avoiding wheelspin as much as possible and on that run it threw a power steer belt before the last turn and the final chicane so it felt like a 10 ton truck to steer.Big thanks to Dave for getting it back on and retensioned.
I think I ended up 4th in class unless I did something special on the last run
there were heaps of Evos doing battle with the Rexes with 2 Evos in the top 10 shootout. BTW the XR5 that beat Dave by 1 second to win that class was in the shootout
Other mitsi of interest were a VR4 powered Sigma, a Dash powered Cordia, a turboed VG61 GSR fwd Lancer & a turboed 4G54 Triton ute
I'm sure Dave has some pics that he will post when he gets time.
Looking forwards to the next event so will have to have the boost switch installed by then and set on lo as I tackle the dirt again after more than 2 years absence

cheers rad and bao! there should be pics all over the internet of my car seriously crossed up within a few days, i had some trouble keeping it straight on nearly every run haha. especially at the first chicane into the bottom corner, i did a few keiichi tsuchiya style corner entries over the weekend, as i was majorly on the limit through turn 2 and down the straight, i was nearly flat throttle in 3rd at about 120kph going through turn 2, a few people reckon i was one of the quickest going through that corner, but i reckon i could drop a second off my time just by reducing the dive under brakes, as it gets really light in the ass when i'm on the limit braking...
the widey has some serious corner speed, i can say hankook RS2's are an AWESOME tyre for an all rounder.. especially when you get the pressures right :)
ps pics and vid soon..
