Very straight looking JD.
Is that the original paint or have you had it resprayed.
Just wondering if that is VG paint code Milano Gold which is what I have on the JA.
Are JA bonnet's the #1 style choice these days?

I had all the door dings, dents and scratches from being keyed fixed up late last year, so the only original paint is probably the rear wing these days. (Mind you the original paint didn't look any worse than it does now if you were far enough away not to see the battle scars!)

Can't check the car right now but I believe the colour is VD (Valencia Gold).

I got the car with both bonnets, but I like the JA one for extra 80's charm.

The colour looks a bit lighter than mine. I also prefer the look of the JA bonnet.
It is like a war zone in car parks these days. Gusts of wind don't help either. Renegade shopping trolleys add to the carnage.
Someone posted a listing of the original colours one time somewhere on the forum. Would take me a while to find that post though.

Since I bought my JA in 2006 I did some DIY rust repair.
I used small steel sheets and JB weld to fix the front fenders which had partly rusted at the bottom - a cheap and cheerful fix, and I didn't even remove the fenders. Pretty happy with my fender repair, as it is still rust free after a year. My DIY paint job was pretty ordinary though.

Another spot which is a problem is at the front of the rear wheel arch which if not fixed results in moisture in the sills (and big bills to fix I expect). I patched mine using the same method as for the fenders.
Will need to treat some rust under the tailgate rubber on the boot. It looks like someone has already done a little work there before.

Im spewing I couldn't finish the cruise and had to turn around at the foot of the putty. I was impressed at the turn up, some nice cars there!, looked like a great day.

... Next time :)
