Have PM'd you :)

Derek the "miss buster" kindly came and quickly traced it to a broken wire in the harness to the injectors . Now I have to buy a diode test light so hopefully I can trace this kind of thing in the future :)
Hopefully will be firing on all 4 again when I get the repaired harness back :D

Are you sure all the rollers are still in place?

I've had a faulty one jump out and it would still idle & have good compression, however when the boost came it just didn't want to go and started to stutter/ shake

Installed a brand new set of NGK BP7RES gaped to .8mm ( 6's recommended for a stock VR4 turbo so one range colder is what is normally the go 4 modified car)started up great on all 4's so went 4 a drive for 4k or so then it gets an intermittent miss at 1800-2200 and higher so drive home into the cave and it sounds like a high lift cam with a very lopey idle :( :x  :wtf: Aaargh!!!!! pull plugs do comp test again and install my used NGK Iridiums 6 heat range plugs and go for a 30 k drive and :D :D :D :D :D :D all is well again so plugs /plug faulty ??? :?

Rad didn't you also get the injectors cleaned that could also make it run rich.

GOOD to hear Rad. I think it's a good note for everyone that unless you have a
specific reason for running colder plugs then don't. I have seen quite a few instances

with plugs have failed when the customer is cruising around. Only to install a new set

& everything is fine again. Mitsubishi work very hard with ngk and all plug

manufactures to ensure a cracked heat range was achieved for all round

performance. Perhaps if you are doing a sprint series and maybe doing 15+ laps you might go one heat range colder , or maybe running bathurst, but day to day street

driving with the occasional performance drive standard plugs are more than adequate

Yes I had them cleaned and was thinking the same way about the AF's being a bit richer as well :)
Thanks again for coming to my rescue and sorting out the ignition miss :beer
PS don't forget about that diode tester details.
