Off early in the morning again to the last street sprint of the year so will try to get video again on my helmet this time.

Had a couple of personal battles with a couple of drivers in various classes but am being hampered by the syncros that don't want to operate as they should so the box will be coming out and serviced or changed as they are costing me 1 second plus and I want the car to be spot on for next year. My class was a mix of track unregistered cars and road reg full interior cars like mine . Had things like Datto 1200 & 120y with V6 na Holden power as well as RB30 Turbo power.

Sad to hear your gearbox is not operating very well.

I have been lucky with mine, syncros are a bit clunky but not bad, and gets better when it warms up.

Sounds like you had a good time though. Excellent to see you are having fun in the car.

Have just changed to Redline lightweight shockproof oil and taken it for an 80k drive and it seems to have reduced the notchyness by about 1/2. Would love to have another staz with a 7 box to be able to compare but it's a long drive to Hobart to test drive avandulls car :(
There is a Staz in Qld with a 7 conversion but it's been in a workshop for quite a while
PS GL lubricants sell it for $99.00 + post Bursons wanted $ 157.00 trade
Also found it at Millenium motorsports in Brissie for the same price & fwiw it sells for app $58.00 US

Won't have to fly to Tassie after all to test drive Avandulls car to compare our RX7 boxes as he is coming to Qld for an outside broadcast in January and will be camping overnight with us so he will have to earn his board and lodging by taking my JB on a test drive :D

Good to hear that you have it up and running at long last.Don't baby it as the rings won't bed in properly if you drive it like a nana :) :beer

No nana driving here. To b realistic I won't have the big cams and final tune completed until mid year and I will only race it when I have sticky tyres on.
