There is a VR4 powered JA from Mackay thats used for rally.
And a guy in Rockhampton who rallys them.

"THE COURIER MAIL"
THE second running of the Mt Stuart Sprint Tarmac Rally is on this weekend near Townsville. Entries have been received from Maroochydore to Cairns. Cars include a Porsche 914-6, classic MK 1 & 2 Escorts through to turbocharged Mazda RX7 and a Mitsubishi Starion. Saturday is compulsory reconnaissance and briefing of competitors on Mt Stuart followed by a shakedown run. Competition starts on Sunday at 8am. Entry for spectators is free to the start area and a gold-coin donation for spectator bus to viewing points. Spectator facilities at start area. The event is being held on the Mt Stuart access road, about 6km west of Townsville via the Flinders Highway from the Walkabout Palms Mobil Service Station. Visit: www.tcac.net.au.
