Starion GroupE race Amaroo Park

Here is a GroupE race from Amaroo park. I used to prepare the silver JB Starion No64 owned and driven by Des Gibbs. As you can see we were VERY competitive against the big guys such as Brad Jones, Peter Fitzgerald, Bartlett, etc. We had a lot of success with this car including some big races finishing 3rd in the 1985 Winton 300 and 1st in the 1986 Winton 300.
At a lot of meetings we were the support race to GroupA so I got to see all those cars racing, a lot of great memories from this period.
Notice a very young looking Neil Compton!
