God damn it.

You know when your browsing software crack websites and porn sites, stupid adware bugs your machine.

Well I actually got a piece of adware yesterday (now removed) that actually attacked forum posts.

I wrote a response to one post, and had to change the word 'car' to 'anything' because, get this, when I hit submit the adware changed the word 'car' so that it was a link to a porno website - and it even did it in BBCode format for forums!!!! Thank god I previewed my post!!

Man I just want to find these people, and beat them until they die.

i got one a week or so ago, changed my proxy settings to some other server so it could fudge any and all frames on the screen. austarion.com had porn adverts all over it. and pop-ups. :glare: :x :glare: :x :glare: :x

Spybot does wonders at finding and killing those annoying ad bugs.

I'll once again pimp the benefits of using a non-ie webbroswer. Firefox is the way!

hahahaha Prozac

well anyway I've found AdWare to be free, and awesome. I just did a web update, rescanned, and all gone. Its removed a total of 288 items since I installed it about two months ago.

As soon as I get something dodgy happenning, I run it. Seems to be the decontamination system from viewing those 'gardening' sites.

Yes gutter_rat is correct, its AdAware, not adware ehehe

Also welcome to the forums :)

Ad-Aware works well for me, and I kinda like it, although the others mentioned with the free imunisation software sound good, Ill stick to AdAware. My real problems were caused from not updating it.
