Just read it again, and I lol'd at ur comment, "change the pistons", It's not like this van will be doing wheel stands down the quarter, just to get it off it's arse between the 2k-4k rev range Unfortunately in STD form they detonate & any sort of boost ( 2-4PSI) will exasperate the p...

You already have a good block, you will need to pull it apart & put oil squirters in it & pistons. There is more fabrication work to do if you do go DOHC, water out of head, timing cover, cam belt ( if you use a 2.4L block you will need a longer belt) then there is the ECU which you will nee...

Why not just turbo what you have... trust me you will end up with more power than your gearbox will handle. If you decide to go VR4 head you will need to change the pistons & oil pump/timing cover as these are different between SOHC & DOHC. :beer

Stepper motor unit I have used is Comomdore V6 VN, think they are 70mm. Also use XF-EF TB unit but these use PWM idle units. Only problem is both idle circuits are big so idle fluctuates with very little movement, had to end up restricting the hole size to half to make it work on 2L engines. Dizzy i...

Rad didn't you also get the injectors cleaned that could also make it run rich. GOOD to hear Rad. I think it's a good note for everyone that unless you have a specific reason for running colder plugs then don't. I have seen quite a few instances with plugs have failed when the customer is cruising a...

Jas definitely go up with compression. What Pistons did you build it with? VR4 units? If so you will be around 7.2-7.6/8:1 Compression. As Prozac said changing the turbo will make very little difference. Bite the bullet & do it correctly & get a set of Customs pistons made to suit.. aim for ...

It's a factory Large Port (JD) Inlet with a Ford TB, modified to fit 4 injectors port injection. :beer

You can use a narrow band oxygen sensor with the wolf 3dv4 if you want closed loop control. It is only really necessary if you have a cat converter though. A cat needs a stoichiometric mixture to operate efficiently hence the need for a oxygen sensor. If you don't have an oxygen sensor you can tune...

Does this unit have dual tuning...e.g maps for nanna mode then another for balls out? No, you need a memory catridge. Not worth it in my book Does this one have lean burn on coasting like some do? Use fuel cut, stops all fuel injection when throttle closed. What is better, the hand controller or usi...

DEPOSIT TAKEN - so it is sold, thanks for all the support and questions etc guys. I'll write up here once it's fully sold and gone too, just in case anything changes between now and then, but it seems fairly certain that it's sold, and once it's all gone through we can probably say who it sold to! ...
