I'd start it first in make sure all is good before it going to the dyno for sure. Remember these guys sit in the car, their screen doesn't tell them water is pissing out everywhere and you'd be surprised how long it take for them to notice. I start them up and check for leaks, then around the block ...

You don't have enough grunt there JAS. :)

It ain't gonna worry you out at Ruapuna, my stocker could sit there as long as I wanted with 60 series tyres and all. You start burnouts out there on wet concrete and then they don't like you using the brake on the tarmac. (because dual use racetrack)

He doesn't replace the balance shaft belt which has far more chance of being worn out, nor does he undo the main crank pully bolt to allow him to do so. I'd also replace water pump and tensioner even second belt job regardless, especially if your doing it at home or whatever and don't want to touch ...

Local car delivery company is called New Zealand Vehicle Deliveries.

On the trucks it has just the initials, NZVD written very big. I snigger every time I see one and think it must be owned by a young person as the term isn't used/hasn't been for years.

Managed to get on here temporarily as the forum normally won't work.

Went for a ride along the motorway in this at the weekend, very impressed.
Quite smooth useable power, be good to see it on the track where you can really open it up.

The 4G54 never took off in this country, a few early Pajeros and some crappy Aussie Magnas aside we roll V6's. But I see early Diamantes badged Magna (from Japan or Aussie) with the 2.6 engine, so if they are the ones then a second hand one is possible although unlikely. Like this: http://www.tradem...

Shit that is cheap, I can imagine the laughter going down to the local Mitsi dealer and asking for one of them. My UK spec one which has spent most of its life inside also has a rusty bumper frame, and moulding along the side under the plastic. But my other (Jap) one that spent 20 years outside only...
