MY CAR! HG and HH Galant GSR's had the 4G63 DOHC in N/A Form. I'm not a cam expert, but the cams in my car don't really come alive until about 4200rpm + (redline 7000rpm, rev limit 7500rpm, peak power 6000rpm). So did the UK's Galant GTi. There was an AMG Tuned Galant in Europe. They had revised cam...

Vernier Cam Gears N/A 4G63 DOHC

Would these be worth while for the $199 or so I recently saw them advertised for?

4G63 DOHC N/A in Galant GSR.

What results could I expect after dyno + calibration? To work with RPW 4-1 headers, 2.5" sys, k&n already fitted.

My Galant GSR runs a 2.5" mandrel bent system from the RPW 4-1 headers down. It was 104.9db @ 4500rpm. I used a sink strainer from woolies, $1.49 for 2 2.5" diametre with about 20 little holes in it). I placed this in the flange before the muffler. Took it back and was measured at 94.db. I...

There's some guy in Annerley (Brisbane) who had 9 at last count.. in a street that you can barely drive a car down. I'm sure Flav is a contender :) I can vouch for this, he's on older guy, 60+, sits in his front yard. Can't remember his name, but I drove down his street in the Galant, and was amaze...

lol! Thanks guys and girls, I hope to get the GSR back on the road soon, and start cruising again, it's been a while, as the scene changed a bit in Brisbane, re: cops, and idiots attracting the wrong attention. Either way, I hope a Starion pops up for sale in a few months time in Canberra, or nearby...

Are there any Starion owners in ACT from this Forum? Wouldn't mind getting one soon, and catching up, checking out these cars too.
