ok. with motor warmed up to operation temp the only number that counts is the last number. (ie 40 in a 10w40) . the 10 is the viscosity when cold in a multigrade.

biggest factor is oil operating temp, not clearances (in a healthy motor)

so if a 40 weight oil is too thin, move to a 50.

The current one has been running 200kw+ atw for 10 years now before its given up the ghost. peak torque is at 4800rpm, which isnt too bad. Ive got a bellhousing to fit a B2600/rx7 box , but I like the factory mitsi ratios better. Also factory box is a cheaper option than a rx7 and the required certi...

Interestingly 276mm will fit under the standard 15" wheels, as do the 282mm with wilwoods (Cookies brake conversion in Technical section) but if these are 282mm with Gen 1 Evo calipers, do they still fit under the stock 15" wheels? Looking forward to the bracket specs. Best bit is no adap...

That's a factory evo 2 caliper. Rotors are supposed to be 276. Easily available from DBA and RDA. Pad selection is awesome for them too. They're designed for 1 inch master cyls. I'd be wary about going to 4pots with less than a 1 inch master cyl as you could cook your fluid relatively easily and ge...

I have first gen evo lancer discs/rotors on my starion. its a fairly easy conversion. just requires some machining of the disc centre locating hole and drilling of some 10mm holes to bolt to hub. although disc measures 288 mm , and im pretty sure early evo lancer is meant to be 276mm? http://i173.ph...

or deck the block as well. you just need to get the piston squish( or quench) area down to reduce the risk of detonation and then run more boost to get the cylinder BMEP back up.
