Compression Ratio
Hi guys has anybody got any figures for the acceptable comp ratio range on a Starion block with EVO III head I'm seeing close to 200PSI which seems a bit high to me???
Having issues with crankcase getting pressure on anything about 2000RPM

HELP Crankcase Breathing Issues
Hi having swapped over to an Evo III head in the last few months with the engine up and running I'll suffering oil being pushed out of rocker cover gasket and the small sump breather hose! Seems OK at idle but even a short drive coats the inside of the engine bay with oil. Before the head swap there...

Do you need a CAS on a DOHC head?
If I’m using a stand alone ECU on an EVO III DOHC conversion would you still need the CAS, I'm using batched firing not sequential so the crank sensor is all I need to run the ECU, therefore is the CAS needed for anything else? :?

Yea so did I, then I cut an M8 thread down the end of short bit of shaft and fitted a bolt the put a couple of small blobs of weld too make sure it can never come out! Did Flav say anything about the bearings on the shaft you left in?? I've just turned them around to block the oil feed holes in the ...

I would have thought removing both shafts would give better lubrication to other parts of the motor as the oil is not being used in the shaft bearings, also there is less load on the oil pump because it no longer has to turn the shaft behind. I followed Flavs tips on cutting back the lower shaft, bu...

Both the Cams in my Focus ST 170 are held in place with just bolts, I just clean the threads and use plenty of Loctite, adjustable cam wheels just allow you to put the cam back where you came from easier! Why waste the money? Mine you forget to torque it up and your right it's game over :D Cheers Pa...

I'm running a L300 manifold, I was thinking of around 6500 so that sort of stacks up, is there anything to be gained on dialing the cam in better than standard, I'll just remove the dowel and lock the bolt up tight when its adjusted, just like most Fords over here do! :) Paul. BTW I'm still looking ...

Safe Rev Limit
What do you guys regard a safe rev limit on a 4G63?Engine fully balanced with balance shafts reoved and steel rods with Wiseco pistons. Is the stock cam a limiting factor? Running 3D engine management on ignition and fuel, more worried about some thing breaking up in the bottom end! :? Cheers Paul.

Hi I've fitted A GSL-392 inline to my 88 Starion as part of the switch to MPI, this pump was supplied in the UK so I don't know if your P/N are different down there. The GSL-392 fitted straight into the standard pump bracket after I'd cut the rusted bolts off, then some fresh 10mm feed hose and 8mm ...
