Are you sure all the rollers are still in place?
I've had a faulty one jump out and it would still idle & have good compression, however when the boost came it just didn't want to go and started to stutter/ shake

How about bolting the cas to the back of the head like a DOHC? You'd have to slot the cam and maybe weld some bracket to bolt it on.. the single cam spins the same direction as the dual cam.. and at the same speed. I've seen this done to the 2.6 in the US so should work with the sohc. then again... ...

There may not be a clearance issue if you would be using a rotor with the same offset as a stock widebody rotor.. As far as I'm aware, there is no such thing as an open 6 bolt centre.. All the 6 bolts were lsd's Well if you have a Euro import.. then you can have a open 6 bolt as most are open diffs here.
