Tell me how you go. I have a spare hatch on cos I have to do the same to the original one. I assumed you'd have to pull it off the glass, empty them out and reattach. The spare hatch has had the bolts removed and dropped inside. It's a good reminder on when you are turning, the bolts run from one si...

Technically, yes, but just undo the fuel inlet screws and put a rag around it when you pull it out. You'll let a little fuel go, not much.
To de-pressureise, pull the fuel pump fuse, start car (or try to) there you go.

I will check with a friend of mine who goes on his car club's national meet. I'll find out venue etc cos they have track time, motorkhana and the like. They also pay membership and are CAMS affiliated so hiring a track etc is , I assume, a little easier than us shmoes walking up and saying, can we h...

Yep, the seal around the fuel injectors are gone. Fuel fills up the area where the injectors live and it leaks out that hole. Pull the ECI cap off, pull the injectors out of the cap and fit another o-ring on them. Measure the width of the o-ring gap, go to a bearing place, buy some of varying sizes ...

A blow off valve is just that, a valve. It must be able to withstand 14psi of pressure (or whatever you're running) against it and not leak if it is to work effectively. It just vents boosted air off when you change gears and in doing so helps keep turbo spooling. That is the theory. no doubt the de...

Try this, put a piece of pvc pipe over the engine and go for a drive. When you open the bonnet again, have a look at the pipe, it will probably be bending down over the motor. You can heat and bend pvc with a heat gun, I think an engine bay would probably do the same thing.

Look for W/B (white/black?) wire on the plug going in to the instrument panel. It goes from the negative of the coil. You could put a multimeter on the coil wire and buzz out the wire on the connector in the dash. Unhook it from the coil first though. bzzzttt Or go here and get the electrical diagra...

There probably won't be much difference in the wattage, they will just be a heap brighter. Something about modern technology vs Ben Franklin technology.

Does anyone know if the Xenon bulbs draw more power than the standard halogen bulbs? Or am I imagining the change because the Xenon bulbs are so much brighter. What is the wattage of them? If it's the same as what you had in there in the first place then no, the power draw is the same. Xenon bulbs ...
