Since I have this ratio....

I already have a 4.625:1 ratio diff in my rally Starion. It has a top speed of around 170-185, depending on the diameter of the tires I am using and where I set the rev-limiter.

Gearbox...

First, it's not HP going through the gearbox but torque... That's probably more important, although higher RPMs do stress it out more. The Starion gearbox is strong. Very strong. Spares are easy to get. I have three spare gearboxes and no-one has ever asked me for one. I've yet to discuss breaking o...

I take it you know how to perform a flood clear?

If things get really bad, and you have trouble fixing it, also attach a relay to the power side of the injector resistor pack. Then you can perform a manual flood-clear from inside the car, and start it anytime.

3 core...

Yes, I know what a 3-core is :) My wife's car has a 3-core. But the Ford radiators that fit in the Starion flow across three times.... Once in the opposite direction! The top is hotter than the bottom. SOme weird design... Best way I could think of to describe it that someone selling them might reco...

Ford Radiators...

Ford 3-flow radiators (flow side to side 3 times) fit with minor modifications. You need to weld up some basic brackets at the bottom (basically a little angle with holes drilled in it) and some clips at the top to take the pins. My rally car had one before it went end-over... :( It was damaged so I...

Pajero Diffs...

Some Pajero diff parts fit the Starion diff, however you need to have a JD style housing - the JA style is too small.

Alternately, you can have the housing/parts machined to fit.

I can't really answer more than that. Try calling Ron - he can probably give you a price also.

Mobile Porn...

I know that, but theres a guy at work who thinks having pics of a womans tits is good - i'll show him. And it hasn't cost me anything to download them onto my phone either. Whatever you do, don't show him the vibrate function, or your phone will go missing and you probably won't want it back... :sh...

How the Starion got it's name.

The Car was named the Stallion during a Mitsubishi board meeting, with a Japanese accent, and the name was incorrectly written down by the secretary at the meeting. After than, Japanese honour didn't allow them to admit the mistake. Confirmed by Barry Lloyd, One of the founders of Ralliart. He perso...

?

Sounds like an aftermarket sender... Also, other Mitsubishi replacement senders also work the other way around.

Just put it back.

Get a new/fixed one down the track.

Leave the pulley off in the mean time, and drive around without it.

Make sure your water pump belt is good though.

It's a bit heavy but after a week, it feels normal.

Give the man an answer...

About $10,000. That's not an exact figure, but it should represent ballpark, to get someone else to do it. You might be able to buy one already done for less than that too. Alternatively, for around the same price, you could probably go for different engine choices also. Most of that price would be ...

You're not going soft on us now ?

Im down to 1100kg... and thats with a 40kg roll cage bolted in.

It's harder than it looks.
I should hope so. A soft roll cage won't provide much protection...

A or B.

A. B has Ethylene Glycol (Don't know if I spelled that correctly). It has a slightly higher boiling temperature and lower freezing temperature. Unless you are in an area that snows, then type A is better... Because it is cheaper, and non-toxic (Type B is toxic). Type A is sufficient for most applica...

It might be busted.

Get a leakdown test... You might have shattered the ring lands.

I've seen engines fail after a little hard work shortly after reconditioning before.

See if the oil cap jitters at idle when loosened (but not removed).
