I believe the mains journal width is different between 6 and 7 bolt cranks, so you should be able to measure the width where the bearings sit in place. yeah would love to take it back to NZ but I'm not NZ-bound (to live) for another 5+ years, after Australia will be carrying on travelling the world. Unfortunately owning a widebody (or even keeping my VR-4 Evo in NZ) doesn't quite fit into that :(

with my Eterna I was seeing as low as 8L/100km with open road driving. The fuel economy was massively improved (when off boost anyway) by going to a TC06 over the spool happy TC05.

yeah but there's so many key differences which would be a dead give away. The timing belt cover is a different shape and width, the rocker cover on the 63/64 has more pronounced ridges, water pump and water pipe location, dipstick location, and not to mention the size of the entire motor is smaller ...
