"gauges inside, lowerd, big rims, loud zorst" does not equal turbo.
You can do all those to a non-turbo car, and from my observations of local and overseas cars, people are just as likely to waste money on the above parts on a n/a as they are on a turbo car.

On every turbo I've tried I've been able to move the wastegate actuator arm, and they've all been able to boost up to 12psi without problems. It needs quite a bit of a pull, but it does move. Maybe you weren't pulling hard enough?

Because they didn't have bureaucrat's like they do now, and it didn't have the same consequences if people were killed then, because it was expected to happen with something that had never been done before. Now people expect the shuttle to be able to get there and back easily, because its been done ...

Only the several floors that had very high temperature fires would be "bent/twisted from 'stiffness dropping'" though right? Its not like the entire building frame was heated up to 800+°C right? The majority of the frame would 'shatter' because it was exposed to stresses far above what it ...

Wasn't the tower made from steel, not titanium? Why would they use titanium in the first place? Towers don't need (to a point) a high strength to weight ratio like things that move do, like tanks and what not, and the cost would be much much greater. the engineers employed an innovative structural m...

I accidently overfilled my gearbox once, by filling it through the speedo sender instead of the proper fill hole, and that made it crunch worse then before with the probably still factory gearbox oil. But I haven't driven it for more then 10 minutes since I filled it the proper level, so I don't kno...
